Wow! That’’s quite an achievement. I have been slowly working my way through the series by reading one book every couple of months.

There is a new Vicky Bliss book coming out by Peters in a couple of months, but don’t know about new Amelia.

The movie of Atonement was pretty faithful to the book, and was really pretty good!

I am slowly working my way through the Amelia Peabody series for the first time! Love them.

I saw Atonement at the cinema, but haven’t read the book yet. I really enjoyed the film, though it seemed slightly in love with itself.

Nice to see you. I am totally not into these networking sites either. Just email me for crying out loud! I also like to be anonymous.

Though, if things continue the way they are, I’ll eventually have to figure some of this stuff out as my child ages so I can keep track of her. My parents had it so easy - just listen to me on the central phone in the house!

facebook gets better the more you connect to real friends (not work friends — unless they’re one and the same).

linked in is great for when you need to job searching but you have to stay up on it when you’re gainfully employed to make the best use of it.

i like good reads (goodreads.com) because it combines library thing with a social network. you can also import all the books you’ve already entered into library thing. which is nice.

but the very, very best one: flickr. hands down the best. you can SEE what your friends are up to rather than read a blog.

I don’t have much luck anyway, but the idea of the itchy palms always amuses me, my palms, left and right always seem to be itching me, but I just attribute it to the dryness in the air and my general propensity toward dry skin. But get this, my mother, now gone to the great beyond, always use to say when her nose itched, that “some dog’s “butt” (she used the ‘a double s-word’) was in trouble” which I always thought was cute and it caused me to laugh, but my mom was of East European Jewish ancestry, and she was a regular laff-riot at the dry, mundane stuff like that.

Marg — I’m with you. Actually, I’d like to eliminate all money and just have a smart card for everything. It would be so much easier.
