Now, I know I can’t do this. But I’m sure there are plenty of other knitters who can. November, in addition to being National Novel Writing Month, is also National Knit a Sweater Month. The goal for NaKniSweMo is to knit a 50,000-stitch sweater in 30 days.

In a strange way, this actually makes NaNoWriMo appear to be easier. I never thought that would be possible!

Finally got my invitation to join Ravelry! Actually, I didn’t have to wait all that long; I think I submitted my request just a couple of months ago. Ravelry currently has about 15,000 users, with another 17,000 invitations to be sent out.

Ravelry is a great community for knitters and crocheters. You can catalog and organize your yarn stash, needles and patterns. You can track ongoing projects and schedule new projects you want to work on. And there is lots more.

I’m going to have a lot of fun entering my projects and seeing what other users are doing. I decided to go kind of fancy with my user name: Tricoteur (that’s French for knitter).
